Fireworks and Sparklers

Happy July 4th! Celebration time. How do you celebrate the Fourth of July?

My town has a big fireworks display at the high school’s football stadium. Hundreds turn out; it’s a must-see event. You can bring your own folding chairs and blankets or sit in the stadium seats. Buy hot dogs, lean back, eyes on the sky and the colorful light show begins.

What are we celebrating today? It’s America’s Independence Day when we recognize the birthday of the United States of America. This day honors the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Old Glory is hung from flag poles big and small. It’s a grand celebration. It’s a tradition that is for fun and excitement.

I hope you enjoy your July 4th!

Till next time ...keep on smiling.
