I tried. I hope I pleased You. My best friend drove over this evening to take me for a ride in her family’s new car. It’s a Cadillac, Lord! You know how long I’ve wanted a Cadillac. I told you I’d be happy with our old car until You said it was time for another one. But, God, my best friend! I swallowed a big gulp of pride. “When’s my turn?!” I really am pleased for my friend, but it was difficult showing it. Thank you for keeping my tongue from saying anything unkind. Forgive me for my envy.
