Deadly Secret by Sharon Lavy

Our guest blogger is Sharon A. Lavy. Sharon has a heart for hurting women, and writes about healing relationships. Because when~~it's all said and done~~It's all about relationships. She lives with her husband in SW Ohio. When not reading, writing, or sewing for her family, Sharon enjoys traveling with her husband in their small Flight Design airplane.

You can find her online:
website/blog

Welcome, Sharon. What fun or unique things can you tell us about yourself?
Husband and I love to travel. We just returned from a trip to Israel. What a privilege to walk on some of the same stones that Jesus walked on and to sail the same Sea of Galilee that he did. This year I brought home a beautiful Menorah. The seven candles of the Menorah represent the seven feasts of the Old Testament. The seven feasts bring us to our Messiah. For each feast points to an event in the life of Jesus, His birth, life, death, and final resurrection.

Please tell us about Deadly Secret.
The covering on Evalena Davidson’s head invites all kinds of confidences and sharing, a blessing on Denton Community Hospital’s oncology ward. But people expect her to be perfect, which makes living up to the promise of her Old German Baptist uniform a challenge.
Pete Neper, head of the sanitation department senses unrest among the employees but finds it a challenge to track down the cause.
Danni Wagoner, another oncology nurse is implicated in a drug scam.
Old German Baptist Brethren with their adherence to traditional ways do not get involved with the law. But how can Evalena turn her back on a friend?
This unlikely trio put their lives and reputation at risk to uncover a deadly secret in an attempt to identify a killer before someone else dies.

What takeaway value do you hope your readers receive after reading this book?
That is a good question. One I often ask myself. Like other Christian authors, God teaches me so much through my writing. I had no idea when I wrote my first novel, that God would nudge me (along with my main character) about self-righteous attitudes. So I kept looking for that elusive element. I also did not know that this would be the first book in a trilogy about how: Sometimes we are asked to forgive the unforgivable.

Please tell our readers where they can get your book.

  5. I met Sharon at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference in 2008 in Eva Marie Everson's "Fiction Writing Clinic" so I am especially interested in her book. I've followed her progress and am happy to see how God is blessing her writing. I'd like to have a real book to keep since I know Sharon.
