With single-minded determination she fights to pierce the ring of secrecy surrounding her sister’s death. Upon meeting Romulus White, a publishers with connections into every important power circle in the city, she quickly realizes he could be a valuable ally in navigating Boston society.

Romulus has been pursuing Stella for years to create art for his magazine. Her luminous illustrations are the missing piece he needs to propel his magazine to the forefront of the industry, and he will stop at nothing to get her on board.

Sparks fly the instant they join forces, but Romulus is unsettled by the unwelcome attraction he feels toward Stella, fearing she might be the one woman who could disrupt his hard-won independence. He may have finally met his match in Stella, but is helping her solve the mystery of her sister’s death worth the risk to his publishing empire?

From Jo:

With one goal, Stella is determined to uncover the mystery surrounding her sister’s death. For years, Romulus has wanted Stella do art work for his magazine, but when he meets her, his bachelorhood is threatened by his attraction to her. SOAR LIKE EAGLES
by Terri Wangard

Terri Wangard grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin,
during the Lombardi Glory Years. Her first Girl Scout badge was the Writer. These days she is writing historical fiction, and won the 2013 Writers on the Storm contest and 2013 First Impressions, as well as being a 2012 Genesis finalist. Holder of a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in library science, she lives in Wisconsin. Her research included going for a ride in a WWII B-17 Flying Fortress bomber. Classic Boating Magazine, a family business since 1984, keeps her busy as an associate editor.

Welcome, Terri. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
My great-great-grandmother who immigrated to America a year after her husband had gone ahead. What was it like to leave everything familiar and go to a land where they spoke another language, knowing she would probably never see Germany again?

Or maybe my 8 or 9x great grandmothers who left France in the seventeenth century to go to New France and be brides of the soldiers who were there. What was it like?

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
The Gulf Coast of Florida. I love to collect sea shells.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Phil. 4:6 NIV

Do you have a dedicated place to write, or a nook or corner of a room, or the kitchen table?
I have a desk you might find in a high school student’s room. My laptop is parked on top, usually surrounded by a mess of research notes, photocopies, books. The window looks out on a pine tree that is actively used by birds who come to the feeders below. They can be very distracting. The old film canister holds sand from Omaha Beach.

Please tell us a little about your novel, Soar Like Eagles
She wants to do her part for the war, but struggles to maintain her ideals. He joins the air force, hoping to find peace.

Carol becomes a Red Cross doughnut girl, serving GIs and boosting their morale. Believing wartime romances are doomed to disappointment, she attempts to avoid entanglements and transfers to France, away from Chet, the airman she’s falling for.

Chet’s father always belittled him. Now a well-regarded navigator, he longs to prove him wrong. After he’s ditched in the North Sea, parachuted into France, and been called before a review, his focus changes to staying alive, and winning the Red Cross girl he keeps crossing paths with.

Welcome, Toni. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
I would have to choose Jane Austen. Her writing is iconic and has spanned generations of readers. I would love to know how many times she wrote Pride and Prejudice. Was it just one time, all of the words pouring out as she wrote, or did it take revision upon revision?

Please describe yourself with three words.
Football loving Texan.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

LOVE IN THE SEAMS
by Jodie Wolfe

Jodie Wolfe creates novels where hope and quirky
meet. She’s been a semi-finalist and finalist in various writing contests and is a member of ACFW. When not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband in Pennsylvania, reading, walking, and being a Grammie.

Welcome, Jodie. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
It would be with my husband. He’s my best friend, and I love spending time together.

What do you enjoy doing for relaxation?
I enjoy reading, walking, and spending time with my husband. Are you noticing a pattern? :) Lately I haven’t been able to walk much due to a physical ailment with my hip. I’m praying physical therapy helps to strengthen the area so I can get back to walking again.

What do you enjoy most about writing?
I love seeing a story dance and move on the page. To breathe life into my characters and then watch them take over.

What can your readers expect from you next?
I recently signed a contract with Celebrate Lit Publishing for a novelette coming out in Spring 2017. It will be a compilation with two other authors. My story is about a dime novelist who is out of work and is desperately trying to figure out a way to save her sisters and family home. My working title for the story is Husband Hunting.

Please tell us a little about your novel, Love in the Seams.
Mae Stafford longs for the companionship and unconditional love her sister has found in her new
husband. But after years of refusing potential suitors because of a pact they made as children, Mae no longer has any choices left once their agreement is broken. She's given up hope that God will give her what she desires most, a family of her own. Instead of dwelling on what she doesn't have, she throws herself into her work as the recent sole owner of the local dress shop.

As a promise made to his late wife, Johannes Mueller agrees to travel west to be a school teacher in Calder Springs, Texas, away from the bigotry associated with being an immigrant in New York City. He hopes to improve his life and forget his loss. Johannes isn't counting on his five-year-old daughter's search for a new mother when they arrive. His little LillyAnn finds ways to bring the seamstress and him together…often. Can he learn to embrace his German heritage and unlock his heart to love again?

GAME ON by Lillian Duncan

Lillian Duncan…Stories of faith mingled…with murder and mayhem.

Lillian Duncan
Lillian is a multi-published author who lives in Ohio Amish country with her husband. After more than 30 years working as a speech pathologist for children, she believes in the power of words to transform lives, especially God’s Word.

Lillian writes the types of books she loves to read—fast-paced suspense and mystery with a touch of romance that demonstrates God’s love for all of us.

To learn more about Lillian, you may visit her at her website or her blog, Tiaras and Tennis Shoes. You may also visit with Lillian at her devotional blog

Welcome, Lillian. Readers, enjoy Lillian’s article below about her newest release, Game On.

Everyone’s heard the saying: just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean someone isn’t out to get you! That’s the premise of my new political thriller, Game On

Congressman Lucas McMann wants to throw his hat into the political arena once again, this time for the U.S. Senate. It’s the next step on his journey to the White House, but he believes he’s the victim of an elaborate stalking game.

The problem is no one believes him.

Instead, his friends think he’s experiencing PTSD. He can’t move forward until he stops the game. He can’t stop the game until he discovers who’s behind it. To do that he needs someone who will believe in him enough to help him get the proof he so desperately wants.

And he knows just the person.

If only she’s put their past behind her.

Private Investigator, Nikki Kent makes a living finding out other people’s secrets, but she has one of her own. When Lucas shows up asking for her help, she refuses. She can’t take the chance of her secret coming to light. But her new-found faith won’t let her turn her back on someone who is desperate for her help—even if he was the first man to break her heart!

Game On is filled with enough twists and turns that it should keep any reader turning those pages late into the night. I really had fun writing it and hope readers will have fun reading it. My publisher outdid herself with the book trailer for Game On so I hope you’ll check it out.

Please give us the back cover information about Game On.
Politics is no game when a stalker nears and there’s nowhere to hide.

A run for the senate is just a step on the road to the White House for Congressman Lucas McMann. But his public profile has put him in the middle of a crazed gunman’s twisted game of stalking. If he wants to win the election and reclaim his life, he’ll need the help of the one person who’d rather leave their past behind them.

Private Investigator Nikki Kent knows how to dig up secrets and discover those who exist in the shadows. She should. She’s good at hiding secrets of her own. Can she risk her own discovery for someone so desperate for her help? For the first man who broke her heart?

With new-found faith, she’ll help Lucas search for the answers. But with the truth comes a danger they must face together.

From the book’s back cover:

Rebekah Lantz feels imprisoned by circumstances she didn’t create. Tobias Byler is haunted by regret. Can two young runaways from half a world away teach them the healing power of true family?

Rebekah isn’t like her sister who left the Amish faith, but the watchful gaze of her family and small, close-knit Amish community makes her feel as if she’s been judged and found lacking. The men avoid her and the women whisper behind her back. She simply longs for the same chance to be a wife and mother that her friends have.

Tobias Byler only wants to escape feelings for a woman he knows he should never have allowed to get close to him. Moving with his family to isolated Bee County, Texas, seemed the best way to leave his mistakes behind. But even a move across the country can’t erase the past that accompanies his every thought.

A surprise encounter with two half-starved runaway children forces Rebekah and Tobias to turn to each other to help a sister and brother who have traveled thousands of miles in search of lives of unfettered peace and joy.

In doing so, Rebekah and Tobias discover the key to forgetting the past is the one that will open the door to love and the future they both seek.

From Jo:
Rebekah Lantz feels she’s being judged by the actions of her sister who left the Amish faith. Tobias Byler tries to leave his mistakes behind by moving to Bee County, Texas. Two sibling runaway children search for a better life. Kelly Irvin weaves the misfortunes of these four characters into a seamless and enjoyable story of forgetting the past. Beautiful characterizations and setting descriptions that bring the residents of Bee County alive for the reader.
