Sweeter Than Honey by Kelly Irvin

Kelly Irvin is the author of The Bishop’s Son, the
second novel in the Amish of Bee County series from Zondervan/HarperCollins. It follows The Beekeeper’s Son, which received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly, calling it “a beautifully woven masterpiece.” She is also the author of the Bliss Creek Amish series and the New Hope Amish series, both from Harvest House Publishing. Her first novella, A Christmas Visitor, debuted in the anthology, The Amish Christmas Gift.

From the Book’s Back Cover:
Shattering a jar of pickled beets wasn’t the impression Isabella hoped to make on her first trip to
the local Combination Store of Bee County, Texas. But as embarrassed as she was by the accident, she didn’t think it warranted the frosty reaction from the handsome manager of the store, Will Glick. As she soon learns, though, Will’s heart has been broken one too many times. And now, for some reason, Isabella finds herself determined to be the one to repair that broken heart and renew his faith in love.

From Jo:
Another winner from Kelly Irvin! Her Sweeter Than Honey is in an anthology of four Amish novellas. This novella tells the story of two characters we’ve met in Kelly Irvin’s Amish of Bee County series. This sweet love story has great characterization and storytelling, which makes the story a page-turner. When I finished, I wanted the story to go on and on. I haven’t read the other three novellas in this book, but I have read novels by the other three authors, and I’m certain you won’t be disappointed with their Amish stories.

This anthology, The Amish Marketplace, includes these three other Amish novellas: Love Birds by Amy Clipston, A Bid for Love by Kathleen Fuller, and Love in Store by Vannetta Chapman. Available at Amazon.

One commenter to this blog post will win a paperback copy of The Amish Marketplace. Please remember to leave your email address so if you're the winner I can contact you.

The winner of last Thursday’s blog post for a copy of Sapphire Secrets by Dawn V. Cahill is Patricia. I’ll email you. Thanks all for commenting. Watch for more book giveaways.

Till next time … keep on smiling.

Thanks for reading my blog! My next novel in the West Virginia Mountains Series is titled Promise Me. Look for it this spring.

  4. I just joined as a follower. As I read the blog I pictured the jar of pickled beets exploding into a terrible mess everywhere! I did a lot of batches of pickled beets last summer and I know how stains can happen with those beets. But they taste SO good!
