A CHANGED AGENT
                 by Tracey J. Lyons

An Amazon Top Ten bestselling historical romance
Add caption
author of the Women of Surprise series, Tracey J. Lyons sold her first book on 9/9/99! Her books have been translated into several languages. Tracey lives with her husband in New York’s Hudson Valley region. She has appeared on the award winning Cox Cable Television show, "Page One" and on the stage of Lady Jane’s reading salon in New York City. She holds membership in Romance Writers of America, American Fiction Christian Writers and Novelists Inc. Tracey considers herself a small town gal who writes small town romances.

Welcome, Tracey. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
I would love to have dinner with Dorothy Parker. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been a huge fan of her books. I remember hosting the RWA Published Authors Special Interest chapter’s cocktail party at the Algonquin Room in New York City. It was so cool being in the same room where Dorothy held the famous meetings of the Algonquin Round Table. I would love to know her take on the publishing industry as it stands today.

What fun or unique things can you tell us about yourself?
I really wanted to be a NASCAR drive. A few years ago I attempted to launch my own YouTube channel called Cookin with Tracey. You still might be able to find the two episodes I posted!

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is Key West. From the first time I went there I felt at peace with the area. I think it has something to do with all of the creative types who flock there. And the fact that one of the most famous authors of all time, Ernest Hemingway, lived there.

What can your readers expect from you next?
I’m so excited about my upcoming July 19, 2016 release of my first book with my new publisher, Waterfall Press.  A Changed Agent is an inspirational historical romance set in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. I so enjoyed featuring one of my favorite areas as the background for the story of school teacher Elsie Mitchell and Pinkerton agent William Benton.

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help make it successful?
If a reader is so inclined they can leave a review on the buy page, but more importantly they can recommend my books to their friends. And it would be really helpful for readers to follow my Amazon Author Page, you will be one of the first to know when I have a new release!

Please tell us a little about your upcoming novel, A Changed Agent.

(A cover image is not yet available for A Changed
Agent. On the right is the cover image of A Surprise for Abigail, an additional book Tracey is offering as a giveaway. See below.)

When schoolteacher Elsie Mitchell meets rugged William Benton on a train platform in Albany, it appears they have nothing in common. He isn’t the sort of fellow a proper young woman of the 1890s would ever speak to, much less become involved with. But when she arrives at her small town in the Adirondack Mountains, Elsie is offered a job as caregiver for this mysterious out-of-towner’s niece and nephew, who’ve been tragically orphaned. Heartbroken for them, she accepts.

Unknown to her, William is an undercover Pinkerton agent posing as a lumber-company foreman. He’s never wanted family—his work is too dangerous. Yet as Elsie transforms his house into a home and he spends time with the children, he feels drawn to family life—and to Elsie.

As a good Christian, Elsie is troubled by William’s secrets…though she does find him intriguing. And when a sinister figure from her past arrives, Elsie and William will have to trust in faith and new found love to protect their unlikely family from danger.

Even though I write historical romance, I primarily read contemporary and romantic suspense books. Do you prefer historical or contemporary novels?

ALWAYS WITH YOU by Elaine Stock

A former Brooklyn gal, Elaine Stock lives in the
Northeast with her husband where she enjoys spring, summer, autumn, and puts up with the winter. A member of several writing associations, she also is a contributing author to the international “Happy Sis Magazine.” In addition to Twitter, Facebook, and Goodreads, she hangs out on her active blog, Everyone’s Story, dedicated to uplifting and encouraging all readers through the power of story and hope. Please check out her new website.

Welcome, Elaine. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
There are so many extraordinary people that I’d love to sit down and chat with over dinner, ranging from world leaders, authors, movie stars, people from the Bible, all of my relatives from Day 1, but right now as I type this the one person that comes to mind is Helen Keller. I’d love to communicate with her on the subject of facing fears and the unknown and her faith in God.

Please describe yourself with three words.
Quiet (soul), loving, focused.

What do you enjoy most about writing?
Writing is freedom. It provides an escape, in that I wander away from my everyday life of complexities and wonders. It’s also totally liberating: I’ve been told to hush up once too often during my younger years and in my story worlds I can live through my characters and say and do what I want! Also, while writing I’m still amazed what comes together for me, not only in how a story plot may resolve itself but especially what I learn about others and myself. Writing is my happy remedy!

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help make it successful?
If readers enjoy Always With You, I’d really appreciate it if they can talk it up whether to suggest the book to a friend or a librarian or spread the word via social media such as a book review on Amazon or Goodreads. I’d also love to hear from you!

Please tell us a little about your novel, Always With You.
The premise is whether an innocent but naïve young woman and a man, who has been conditioned to hate, can love each other and accept God into their hearts.

Back Cover Blurb:
Can she move forward without knowing her past?
Will he enjoy his present if he can’t free himself from what he left behind?

In the heart of the Adirondacks, Isabelle lives in the shadow of a dark family secret whose silent burden strips her family of emotional warmth and faith in God. Tyler belongs to the religious sect called The Faithful, which Isabelle’s father dislikes immensely. Yet, because Tyler belongs to this group, Isabelle sees only a man devoted to his family and faith.

She wants it; she gets it; they marry.

And when the truth comes out, Isabelle faces two choices:
Staying could endanger her child.
Leaving could cost her life.

LONDONDERRY DREAMING
                by Christine Lindsay

Irish-born Christine Lindsay is proud of her ancestors
who served in the British Cavalry in Colonial India. Those ancestors inspired her multi-award-winning historical series Twilight of the British Raj: Book 1 Shadowed in Silk, Book 2 Captured by Moonlight, and Book 3 Veiled at Midnight.

Londonderry Dreaming is Christine’s first contemporary romance set in N. Ireland, and she is looking forward to the release in 2016 of historical romance Sofi’s Bridge, and Just Like Hannah, the non-fiction account of her birth-mother experience.
A busy writer and speaker, Christine and her husband make their home on the west coast of Canada.

Welcome, Christine. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
Since it is St. Patrick’s Day I would love to have that dear old missionary come to dinner. Patrick was one of the men most instrumental in bringing the good news of Christianity to the people of Ireland. He taught the pagan Irish the mystery of the Holy Trinity by holding up a shamrock (the Gaelic word for diminutive clover). He showed them that this tiny 3-leafed shamrock was one but it was also three, like the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

What do you enjoy doing for relaxation?
I love to work in my garden. I have quite a large flower garden, but even in the winter it’s nice when the little birds come to call. One of the things most important to me in life is to hear birdsong. To me it’s a little touch of heaven.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
“Can a woman forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you. See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” Isaiah 49:15, 16a (NIV)

This verse became my life verse because one of the hardest trials I ever went through was the heartbreak of relinquishing my baby girl to adoption in 1979, and to our painful reunion twenty years later in 1999. It was through giving up my own baby that I learned about the depth of Heavenly Father’s love for us.

What can your readers expect from you next?
I am currently writing a brand new 3-book series set on the Antrim Coast of N. Ireland. It is a series of books with braided points of view—one from a current day protagonist and the other from a character from the main heroine’s ancestry. This trilogy will be set in many of the places I have been to in Ireland.

Please tell us a little about your novel, Londonderry Dreaming.
Acclaimed New York artist, Naomi Boyd, and music therapist, Keith Wilson, loved one another five years

ago, until her grandfather with his influence over Naomi separated them.

That root of bitterness keeps them apart until a letter from Keith’s grandmother, Ruth, draws Naomi to Londonderry to find she’s too late. Ruth has passed on. After the death of his beloved grandmother, Keith has also come to Londonderry only to open the door to his past…Naomi...beautiful as ever, the girl who broke his heart.

A mysterious painting in Ruth’s attic brings up questions about their grandparents’ entwined past and their own broken romance. But more comfortable with the unspoken languages of art and music, Naomi and Keith find it difficult to share their old hurts and true feelings.

Will the majestic coastline of Northern Ireland inspire them to speak the words to bring peace to their grandparents’ memory and to rekindle love?

RESTORED by Tanya Eavenson

Tanya Eavenson enjoys spending time with her husband, and their three children. Her favorite pastime is grabbing a cup of coffee, eating chocolate, and reading a good book. Tanya is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, Word Weavers International, and writes for Christ to the World Ministries.

Welcome, Tanya. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
It would have to be with author Lori Wick. I love the biblical aspects of her writing and how the characters feel like family. Years ago God was calling me to write, but it wasn’t until I read her series, “The English Garden Series” that I began to write. God used her in my life and I’d like to say thank you.

What do you enjoy doing for relaxation?
For relaxation I usually read, but if I’m not reading, then I’m probably watching the Hallmark Channel. =)

What do you enjoy most about writing?
I so enjoy writing the first draft of every story. It’s during that time my characters come alive.

What can your readers expect from you next?
I’m changing gears from Contemporary to Historical Romance. I’m working on a series of novels set in the late 1800’s. The first novel in the All Roads Lead to Texas series is called The Rescue and will release this fall!

Please tell us a little about your novel, Restored.
Restored is a story about lost love being given a

second chance when it’s least expected. Here’s the blurb:

Dr. Steven Moore is known nationally for saving lives. If only he could save his own. Unable to deal with his cancer prognosis, he retreats to a happier time in his past—to the woman who once stole his heart.

Four years after the death of her beloved husband, bookstore owner Elizabeth Roberts still struggles to sustain her faith and joy in the Lord as she raises her two sons. She strives to find a way through her family's grief, never suspecting a man from her past might offer hope for her future.

But how can there be a future when he's only come to kiss her and says good-bye?

Sweeter Than Honey by Kelly Irvin

Kelly Irvin is the author of The Bishop’s Son, the
second novel in the Amish of Bee County series from Zondervan/HarperCollins. It follows The Beekeeper’s Son, which received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly, calling it “a beautifully woven masterpiece.” She is also the author of the Bliss Creek Amish series and the New Hope Amish series, both from Harvest House Publishing. Her first novella, A Christmas Visitor, debuted in the anthology, The Amish Christmas Gift.

From the Book’s Back Cover:
Shattering a jar of pickled beets wasn’t the impression Isabella hoped to make on her first trip to
the local Combination Store of Bee County, Texas. But as embarrassed as she was by the accident, she didn’t think it warranted the frosty reaction from the handsome manager of the store, Will Glick. As she soon learns, though, Will’s heart has been broken one too many times. And now, for some reason, Isabella finds herself determined to be the one to repair that broken heart and renew his faith in love.

From Jo:
Another winner from Kelly Irvin! Her Sweeter Than Honey is in an anthology of four Amish novellas. This novella tells the story of two characters we’ve met in Kelly Irvin’s Amish of Bee County series. This sweet love story has great characterization and storytelling, which makes the story a page-turner. When I finished, I wanted the story to go on and on. I haven’t read the other three novellas in this book, but I have read novels by the other three authors, and I’m certain you won’t be disappointed with their Amish stories.

This anthology, The Amish Marketplace, includes these three other Amish novellas: Love Birds by Amy Clipston, A Bid for Love by Kathleen Fuller, and Love in Store by Vannetta Chapman. Available at Amazon.

One commenter to this blog post will win a paperback copy of The Amish Marketplace. Please remember to leave your email address so if you're the winner I can contact you.
