SECOND CHANCE LOVE
by Pam Meyers

A native of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, author Pamela S. Meyers lives in suburban Chicago with her two
Pamela S. Meyers
rescue cats. Her novels include Thyme for Love and her historical romance, Love Finds You in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Her novella. What Lies Ahead, is part of a novella collection, The Bucket List Dare, which is now available at Amazon in both print and Kindle formats. Second Chance Love from Bling!, an imprint of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, has released this month. When she isn’t at her laptop writing her latest novel, she can often be found nosing around Wisconsin and other Midwestern spots for new story ideas.

Welcome, Pam. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
That is a difficult question to answer. There are so many intriguing people in history and current times. But I think I’ll say my great-grandfather on my father’s side. Oscar Bancroft strikes me as being a bit eccentric in many ways from what I’ve read, but he was also very creative. He was a photographer by trade and owned a portrait studio around the turn of the Century (1899-1900). He was also an inventor and applied for several patents, and he was adventurous. After my great-grandmother died, he packed up and moved from Ohio to California to stay with his eldest daughter from his first marriage (he was a widower when he married my g-grandmother). I’d want to pick his brain and discuss creative things and share with him how the creative gene that began even before him in our family line had passed down from him, to my dad, and then to me. It would be a very interesting meal.

Please describe yourself with three words.
Loyal, Determined, Teachable

What is your favorite Bible verse?
I have many Bible verses I call my favorites, but the one that I have claimed for 2017 is Titus 2: 11-13 (NIV):  "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ."

What can your readers expect from you next?
I’m currently plotting a sequel to Second Chance Love and am also involved in a novella collection with several other authors from my online writers group. It’s theme is Tiny Houses. We are going to indie (independently) publish these stories.

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help make it successful?
Word of mouth is the best way to increase a book’s awareness and sales. If you read it and like it, please leave a review at the book’s Amazon page and tell your friends about it. Mention it on your Facebook Page or on Twitter and any social media you are involved in. Thanks in advance for helping me!

Please tell us a little about your novel, Second Chance Love.
Chicago lawyer Sydney Knight and Texas bull rider Jace McGowan have nothing in common but everything to lose when they are thrust together
during a weekend rodeo in rural Illinois. Neither one of them would have imagined two years ago that the deep attraction they sensed during a day-long outing would resurface when Sydney's boss assigns her to Jace's legal case.

Sydney has been through a world of hurt since losing her dad when she was sixteen, then being dumped the morning of her wedding. She's sworn off romance and instead devotes her time toward a partnership in her father's law office.

Jace has found faith in God and wants out of his sponsor contract with a risqué restaurant chain that requires him to pose with scantily-clad women. He's about to bail on the contract and pay steep penalties, something he can ill afford, given that his deceased father left the family with unpaid taxes.

Sydney is determined she'll get Jace out of his contract and return to Chicago with her heart intact, but Jace is just as determined to help her see they're meant to be together. Can a city girl with roots deep in Chicago and a bull-riding rancher with roots deep in Texas give themselves a second chance at love?

  6. I always wanted a horse also. Our county had a two night horseshow each summer and a horse was given away. I always prayed to win that horse but u never did. Since we lived in town and had no place to house a horse and no land for it to run, I am sure that my parents were praying just as fervently that my name would not be drawn!
