Welcome Nike. What fun or unique things can you tell us about yourself?
I collect objects that have memories attached to them. I've carted them around from home-to-home, always adding to my collection of remembrances. My china cabinet displays a place setting of my mother's 1940s wedding china, my aunt's 1950s china dessert set, gifts from friends, and objects d'art picked up here and there. My Christmas decorations (packed in my shed 10+ months of the year) include ornaments from my grandmother's tree dating back to the 1940s as well as ones from my mother's tree going back to the 1950s.
On display in the china cabinet is also a place setting of my contemporary china (white with gold rimming) which is a story unto itself. My dinner plates and luncheon plates are from the same set. The cake plates came from the Salvation Army in Brooklyn, NY and the salt and pepper shakers from the Hospice Community Thrift Shop in Orange Park, Florida. The other pieces come from other contemporary sets. My platter, white rimmed in gold, came from Marshalls. I went for an eclectic look.
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
I can't say that I have one favorite spot, but my vacations are usually near water…the ocean, a lake, or a river. That is so relaxing to me. Plus, I love to eat seafood, usually available near a vacay spot on water. I think the many trips to Florida's east coast, over the years, influenced me to move permanently to the Sunshine State in retirement.
What can your readers expect from you next?
My next is a slight departure. I've always written detective/mystery novels with one or more murders, historical or contemporary...with an inspirational spin. My giveaway, Harmful Intent, is part of the Veronica "Ronnie" Ingels/Dawson Hughes trilogy and that is part of a larger Authorized Operations series with a clandestine spin to it. Main characters in any of these books might show up as a secondary or subordinate character in another novel. My next and my departure is That Special One, a New Adult Romantic Suspense, which is also part of the overarching series. Adult characters from the first three books will pop up as minor characters in this story of college romance mishaps where the heroine wonders if she'll ever get it right, deep friendships, and arson.
Please tell us a little about your novel, Harmful Intent.
Betrayal runs in private investigator Veronica "Ronnie" Ingels' family. So, why is she surprised when her husband of one year cheats on her? The real shock is his murder, with the local lawman pegging her as the prime suspect.
Ronnie Ingels is a Brooklyn bred private investigator who travels to west Texas, where her cheating husband is murdered. As she hunts the killer to clear her name, she becomes the hunted.
Deputy Sergeant Dawson Hughes, a former Army Ranger, is a man folks want on their side. Only he's not so sure at first, he's on the meddling New York PI's side. As the evidence points away from her, he realizes the more she butts in, the more danger she attracts to herself.

Any parting comment?
It was a pleasure being a guest here. I wonder if readers have a pet peeve. Something that bugs them when they see it in a mystery novel or thriller. If anyone cares to comment on that, I'd be very interested.
