Welcome, Lena. If you could have dinner with one person from today or history (except Jesus) who would it be? Why?
President George W Bush (and his wife Laura). James and I have a lot of things in common with them. I believe God sent him to our country when he was needed most. The way he handled 9-11 was true leadership.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere with my husband. Can I say that? We do love going on cruises, but we don’t do it very often.

Do you have a dedicated place to write, or a nook or corner of a room, or the kitchen table?
When my daughters married and left home, I turned one of the bedrooms into my office. I love it.

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help make it successful?
That’s easy. Tell all their friends. Request their local library to add it to their collection. Leave reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and other sites on the Internet (This one is very important.)

Please tell us a little about your novel, A Heart’s Gift.
Because of an earlier betrayal, Franklin vows never to open his heart to another woman. But he desires an heir. When Lorinda is finally out from under the control of men who made all the decisions in her life, she promises herself she will never allow a man to control her again. But how can she provide for her infant son? Marriage seems like the perfect arrangement until two people from Franklin's past endanger Lorinda. How can he save her? And how will this affect the way they feel about each other?

    2. Patti, cruises are wonderful vacation. You get to see a lot of places without having to unpack and pack again and again. And since it includes a place to stay, meals, and transportation, ti's often a bargain.

    1. My friend Crystal L Barnes, who also writes historical westerns, designed my cover. She did a very good job at fitting the story.
