Welcome, Amber. What is your favorite dessert? If you don’t like sweets. What is your favorite meal?
I love ice cream. It’s a family weakness. Chocolate comes next. Have you ever had chocolate covered coffee beans? I declare! Love those things.
How do people react when they find out you write?
Hahaha. I wish I could capture the look on their face. They’re usually surprised. Sometimes doubtful. I’m still pretty young, and I look even younger, so when you’re looking at me going, ‘she’s gotta be...what? Sixteen?’ and then hear I write books. Priceless.
Very similar to the reaction I get when I tell them I’m 26. They almost don’t believe me. But, hey, I found eternal life when I was 16 and I haven’t aged since. ;)
Do you type or write by hand? Computer? Typewriter? Legal pad?
I have a beautiful typewriter that a friend gave me, but I rarely use it for writing stories. I use it for letters.
When it comes to my stories, it’s usually on my faithful laptop who I affectionately call “Qwerty.” If I get stuck, sometimes I’ll pull out the old fashioned notebook to get the creative juices flowing again.
Lighting Round:
Vacation: Beach or Mountains? Mountains. Unless you can get both. Ever seen Seattle?
Y’all or You Guys? Both. Because I spend a lot of time in AR and CO, so I end up with both. LOL.
Biscuits or Dinner Roll? Yes, please. ;)
Spring, summer, winter, or fall? Fall.
Laptop or Desktop? Laptop!
Mug or teacup? Mug. Teacups are too tiny for this gal.
Please tell us a little about your novel, Dawn of Liberty.
I’m super excited because this title won the 2017 CSPA Book of the year award in April.
Liberty comes with a price. Can a fledgling
nation bear the cost?
British forces advance upon a struggling colonial army. The time of decision has come. Declare independence, or give up the fight. The weight of a nation rests on Samuel Adams' shoulders as he joins the delegates of the Second Continental Congress. Can he raise the cause of Liberty above the fear of the King's wrath in the hearts of his countrymen?
Three riveting short stories follow Samuel Adams as he struggles through the events surrounding the Declaration of Independence and evokes the Dawn of Liberty.
