June Foster
June Foster is an award-winning author who began her writing career in an RV roaming around the USA with her husband, Joe. She brags about visiting a location before it becomes the setting in her contemporary romances. June's characters find themselves in precarious circumstances where only God can offer redemption and ultimately freedom.

Welcome, June. Readers, please enjoy the following article by June Foster about her writing the Woodlyn series.

Thank you for featuring me and my three books, the Woodlyn series, on your blog today, Jo. I can't wait to tell you the story behind the first book because it launched me into my journey as a writer.

After I retired from teaching, I took up scrapbooking, card making, and traveling in our RV. But God had something very different in mind. One day I noticed a story lurking in my mind. I could see the characters and even the setting. This was very strange as creativity has not been one of my strong points, and I had never wanted to write—much less fiction.

I visited with my daughter one day and happened to tell her the story. Her eyes brightened and she said she thought I should write the story. I threw my hands up in the air as I'd never written fiction. But, her comment was the spark the Lord used to set me on my way. A strong desire consumed me. I realized I couldn't not write it.

But where to start? I ordered all the "how to" books I could find on Amazon, joined ACFW, and dove in. The going wasn't easy, and I daresay, still isn't. But God has guided me every step. I even asked Him for confirmation that this was His will. I got at least ten assurances that God wanted me to write the stories He put in my heart. One conformation being my husband's change of heart. At first, he thought I'd lost my mind. Now I can't ask for a more supportive person.

To date, I've got seventeen books and novellas published. I've worked with three different small publishing houses and my novella A Harvest of Blessing will be out soon.

Book 2
But back to the Woodlyn series. Though Flawless, book one, wasn't my first book published, it was the story God put in my heart ten years ago when I began to write. After Flawless, two more books were born: Out of Control and All Things New. We continue to meet Jess Colton and Holly Harrison,
the hero and heroine of Flawless, in the next two
Book 3
books as well as some new characters. (other 2 covers here?)

The Lord has led me to write about struggles Christians deal with and how they find victory through God's power and His Word.

I hope you'll love the Woodlyn series as much as I.

Please tell us a little about Flawless, Book 1 in the Woodlyn series.
When man sees two broken lives, God sees them flawless.

Though Jess Colton gave his life to the Lord, he held onto an old habit. Fueled by alcohol, he spent a night with a girl from his past, defying his Christian principles. When he quit drinking to honor God, he discovered another addiction. Now he can't manage his own life as his weight soars and diabetes threatens to claim him. Jess is baffled when the beautiful Holly Harrison declares her love.

Holly Harrison lived to please herself. But everything caught up with her in one moment of time when a destructive motorcycle accident altered her life forever. Nowhere else to turn, she looked to God for answers. Now, she's convinced no Christian man would be attracted to her. She doesn’t plan on falling in love with the handsome Jess Colton seeing past his bulk to the godly, tender man within. When Jess drives a wedge between them, she loses hope of a future together.

Can Holly overcome her handicap? Can Jess find control over his eating and his life? Only God has the answer.
